Cortalim vs Panjim (4 days in Goa)

I have managed to find a place in Sontrant, Cortalim, in Goa beginning of January... Can anyone give me an idea of what the place is like?
Would it be better to stay put in Panjim where I have also found a place (but must finalize quick!)

Cortalim is a small village with absolutely nothing to do. No facilities, no stores, no restaurants. There is no beach either. Which hotel in Cortalim are you talking about?

Casa Morgado, Cortalim...well it is really a guest house, nice sounding but as you say a bit isolated

Well then what about four days in Panjim ?

Yo want to stay in "cock's huts".
In Arambol you will have to go there personally to find a place to stay. No online booking. In Panjim there are tons of places but what is your budget?
