I am a fan of Presa di Goa. We stayed there twice before moving to Goa. The rooms are furnished with antiques, the garden is very tropical, the swimming pool small but clean and the food varied and pretty good. Best of all, everything works so you can relax.

I also stayed a Casa Britona which was a real disaster. The place is nice and the location beautiful (but not very practical) but nothing works. They double booked our room so we had to spend the first night in one of their other property called Casa Anjuna. Both places were noisy, unprofesionally run, in Casa Anjuna the plumbing did not work and every morning there was layer of sewage water in the bathroom , the staff was watching cricket until 2:00 at night in the lobby, the food always arrived cold, etc. etc. One of the worst stays I ever had anywhere.

Getting back to Presa di Goa, we still go for dinner there about twice a week. On Monday and Thursdays they have live music with Jimmy and Cloudine, which is very nice and a relaxed way to spend the evening.

I highly recommend the place but some may find it a bit quiet, it is not the best place if you are into hard partying but if you just want to relax under the palm trees it is a great place.
