we're a group of 8 ppl heading to goa for the new years. ive been seriously hunting for some of the contacts of the guest houses located in the anjuna / vagator area. they are -

In Vagator-

1) Sunita Guest House
2) Moondance
3) Old Day and Night
4) Jackies Guest House
5) Oasis Guest house

In Anjuna -
1) Red Cab Inn
2) Rose Garden Motel
3) Manali Guest House

i desperately need to do the bookings for new years. HELP !!

hey thanks a lot. i called manali guest house and red cab inn, for a booking during the new year days, but theyre not accepting any advance booking.

the number of rose garden motel does not exist.
im trying desperately for a booking in the anjuna vagator area for a weeks stay during the new year period.does anybody have any suggestions.would be of great help.

Most of the hotels/guesthouses these days do not accept advance bookings for the period Dec 23-Jan 2. This is because of the fact that many people make these "bookings" and do not show bother to show up. The hotels/guesthouses that do accept advance bookings make sure that they accept the entire amount in advance. Some of the very small places have a wait and see attitude. These guys wait until Dec 23 to see if all the other places are full or not. If every place is more or less full then they are free to charge whatever they wish.

does anybody know if there any locals giving out their place on rent for the newyearr period in the anjuna / vagator area?

it is a nice and Cheap place on the main road, Beach is 2 minutes walk.

In Candolim we are going this year for a week to:

Sea Pearl Guest House: 08322276899, 9370123455

It is on the beach, seems to be with nice clean rooms. May check their website: www.seapearl.in

Anita Lodge, north of the road near the beach; (2274348)

Oasis Guest House, 100m west of the crossroads;( no phone)
Palm Grove, Deul Vaddo; (2274388)

Off the main road is the Red Cab Inn (2274427) with good rooms for Rs 400 with common bath and Rs 550 with private bath.

Manali, south of Starco's, near the bus stand (Tel. 2274421)

Rose Garden Restaurant (2273362), right next to the beach, near the Shore Bar, has rooms with bath for Rs 500 to Rs 900. Except for its location, the rooms are highly overpriced.

You may try getting booking in Baga, Calangute and Candolim area guest houses.

There are a few cheap guest houses in this area also.
