condor flights

Ihave found a flight from manchester to frankfurt ,frankfurt to goa,with condor airways.
has anyone done this flight or used condor airways,i would also like to know what it is like getting through frankfurt airport as the connection between flights is not long.
any feedback would be most welcome.

I have used Condor Airways from Munich to Goa once.

How much time do you have at Frankfurt between flights and do you know which terminal the flight from Manchester arrives at and which one the Goa flight departs from? As you are flying from a non-Schengen country to another non-Schengen one you don't have to go through immigration control, provided your baggage has been checked through. I don't think you will have to go through a second security check as you are coming from the UK. On your way back you would.

its just that i have heard that frankfurt airport is a nightmare
we try to avoid stopping in mumbi as to me that airport is a nightmare.
we usually fly to goa with quatar via doha but are expensive this year, so i was just looking at other options.

I presume you are flying Lufthansa from Manchester to Frankfurt. In that case you have more than a four hour layover at Frankfurt Airport. That should be more than enough even if you need "special assistance". If you think Frankfurt Airport is a "nightmare" then so is every other major airport in the world.

I have not used Condor to Goa but I regularly use Lufthansa for my flight to Mumbai from Toronto via Frankfurt and I find the Frankfurt Main airport to be well organised and a comfortable place to spend a few hours between flights.

You should have at least an hour between flights as at times there can be a long walk between arrival and departing gates and if you have checked luggage then you will need even more time so your luggage can be transferred to your ongoing flight.

Frankfurt Main is a big airport with many terminals and inter terminal shuttle trains and on arrival at Frankfurt airport it would be a good idea to get to the nearest info desk or ask one of their staff for directions to your connecting flight.

looked at this route for our trip in January
and at the moment thought the flight prices to be quite expensive at around 922 euros
anyone any other suggestions for alternative flight routes

I just checked with Opodo and gave 3rd January as the date of the outward flight and 17th January as the return date. It turned up a Manchester-Hearthrow-Mumbai-Goa routing (British Airways + Jet Airways) for about €750.
It should be cheaper buying a ticket to Mumbai or Delhi and a separate ticket for the flight from either of these places to Goa.
Swiss has a Manchester-Zürich-Mumbai flight for €653 and Turkish Airlines has a Manchester-Istanbul-Delhi flight for €581.

Cheapest way Ticket from heathrow to mumbai £409 by the wisemiser site www.thewisemiser.co.uk. then buy a ticket to goa is lots cheaper than £750.
Goa overnight bus can be from £5 eachway to Paulos a/c for £13 eachway. Trains are also available sleeper from £8 onwards but difficult to get unless booked in advance.
