Buy a filter machine. I buy coffee in "Tea Corner" in Margao. "Peaberry Estate" 270/- per kilo. Ground while you wait. Also good coffee, espresso etc. in Cafe Day.

Try "Cafe Coffeeday" in Panjim & Calangute
Restaurant Seaview in Patnem makes good coffee/espresso too (from the peaberry)

any idea if this is locally grown/other state? Only tried Kenya & Australian Peaberry before. Kenyan Peaberry is one of my favourites.

thats why im a veggie! though it must be said that though pigs do not exactly live on caviar in the west, they probably dont get quite so much opportunity to snuffle on human faeces

some of the strongest coffe i have drunk was in India. Restaurants brew there coffe in large batches, so they can' t make it any stronger for you. If instant coffee is acceptabe, thn you an tell them how many spoons of cofee and how much water. BTW, restaurant in the US can't make the coffee any stronger either

Strong coffe is not necessarily good coffee! Here local coffee is made with added chicoree (??probably wrongly spelled) which makes it very dark and gives it a strong -chicoree- flavour.
As far as I know Peaberry is one of the best + in cafe coffeday they sell beautiful melanges too!
