Ciarans, Palolem
Hi,
I am planning a 3 day trip to Goa in early December (along with my fiancee). After much research, palolem sounds like a nice beach to stay in - the prospect of the beach huts sounds esp tempting. I got in touch with Ciarans camp and recd a quote of 3500 rs per night for the first weekend in December. We are looking for something mid to top end so I am okay with paying it, but I just wanted to get some opinions on whether I am being taken for a ride! Any comments you have would be most appreciated. Also, are there any sea-facing huts in Ciaran's camp? Thanks! |

Not sure it's worth that much. Nice place, but has gone up a LOT! We paid 700r a night in Jan 2004. Our room did not have en suite facilities though.

Thanks for the quick reply! They noted in their email that the hut has ensuite facilities, and are "double sundeck" huts.
Did any of the huts have AC by the way? Will it be required in Goa in December? |

I very much doubt that any of the huts have ac, but we never needed it during Dec/Jan. They should respond quickly to email if you contact them. When we were there some of the en-suite huts faced the ocean but the place was set a few metres back from the beach. May not be quite the same this year...different huts will have been built. Maybe someone who's already in Palolem will get back to you with up to the minute info.
Lovely restaurant there too. |
