Cheap hotel near the airport

Hey,

I arrive at goa airport on the 16th and need to wait around to meet some friends coming from engldn early on the 18th. Are there any cheap hotels (up to ten dollars a night) near the airport?

Hi There are a good few apartments in the bogmalo area in that price region but as for hotels i dont think so
bogmalo beach is just 10 mins away from airport by taxi

Your going to have to wait for 1 1/2 -2 days for your friends, so don't stay by the airport (how boring) but head to a beach nearby. You can get to Benaulim e.g. in 30 minutes by taxi and get a cheap room there. I got a room away from the beach for $2 u.s. 4 years ago and also a room on the beach for $4. There's other beaches south of the airport that are closer but don't know about hotels, etc.

Of course you could also stay in Panjim for that time. It's the biggest city in Goa and not a bad place to stay for a few days.

But definitely get a bus or taxi and get away from the airport. Goa's not a big place so everything is pretty close.
