Cavelossim

Anyone been to this area? I'd like some info on the beach, restaurants, things to do, etc.

We're going to the Haathi Mahal hotel - be great to get some feedback on that too?....

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply - great to hear about the hotel!

I purposefully chose South Goa to avoid lots of the hecticness of the North - fancy a quieter holiday this time (living in London it's sometimes nice to chill on holiday!) We're going to try and get out and about and see the area - maybe hire some bikes. Is it possible to cycle to the surrounding villages / beaches? Did you have any favourite beaches around there? I'm after something quiet, pretty & good for swimming

Also, can you recommend any restaurants?, are there any good bars? and what are the beach shacks like on Cavelossim beach?

Sorry for all the questions!

I stayed there for 2 weeks last November and really enjoyed it. There is not a great deal goign on but there are a host of good places to eat and the beach is great. We stayed at the Dona Sa Maria guest house which is just outside but was a five min taxi ride in. If you ahve nowhere to stay try them. Excellent family run hotel with pool and the most freiendly staff. I'm even goign back for a few nights in early December.
