Candolim for New Years

Hi,

There are 5 of us planning to stay in Candolim from 27 December till 3 Jan. We would like somewhere close to the beach and shacks etc, but preferably not on a busy main road.

Our budget is around Rs 1000 a night per double room.

I was wondering whether anyone could suggest nice places to stay for that price range? Any help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Ish

Your budget is a lttle low for staying in Candolim at that time of the year. The problem for you is that the British charter tour operators do block booking of all the decent hotels in Candolim and Calangute and as a result even if you were to phone 3 months in advance almost all the hotels will turn you down. You can try these guys http://www.nivalink.com/xavier/tariff.html

Hi GoaCanuck, thanks heaps for the advice!

The website you suggested is great. Have you ever stayed in/heard about any of the places? Also, do you know where in Candolim they are located? I can't seem to find it on the website.

I understand that our budget is low. I think that we might be able to go up to Rs 1000 each per night (so Rs 5,000 for all of us put together). Does that help much?

Any other suggestions would be useful.

Thanks again,

Ish

Candolim is like my backyard. Very familiar.

Increasing your budget will help no doubt. This place http://www.sunsetcandolim.com/tariff.html is really good but extremely difficult to get a reservation.

To get an idea of how far these hotels are from the beach check this out http://www.johnthemap.co.uk/pages/goa/candolim.html
