Candolim Beach Goa - Pretty Petal Guest House

Can anyone tel me what Pretty Petal Guest House is like? Or in fact what Candolim Beach is like at Christmas and New Years. I am looking for a place that is not to much of a party scene, with good food, good shopping a nice beach and frendly people.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Heres some information on the Pretty Petal Guest House

You'll find all that you're looking for in Candolim, Lots of restaurants, A Beautiful Beach which is great for walking on early morning, Lots of people work out on it, It invites brisk walks/jogs if you're into that, Perhaps 3miles long from Fort Aguada at the southern end to Baga on the northern tip with plenty of shacks to get snacks/refreshments along the way, Plenty of shops to check out in Candolim, Calangute which is next door & baga. You can find restaurants with live bands playing in their outdoor areas , but not the trance/ party scene, it's more for the 2-4 week charter people from europe.
Enjoy

Pretty Petal Guest house is a nice place very close to the beach in Candolim. While staying there you can use the swimming pool and bar at the adjoining Sunset Beach resort which belongs to the same owner. Candolim does get busy during Christmas and New Year due to the large number of British tourists who patronize it but it is less crowded as compared to Calangute and Baga which are madhouses. There are many many good restaurants in Candolim all within walking distance or you can hire a bicycle which is easily available and fun to use. For walking about at night it is advisable to purchase a small torch because certain areas can be quite dark and you don't want your feet landing on the cowdung which is very common.
