Can anyone beat this??

Back in the 80s, i stayed in Baga, when it was a hippy hang out.
I met a old hippie, who had cycled from Manali to Goa, sleeping on the side of the road ETC, no hotels or guest houses.
He had an old Indian push bike, no gears or anything.
Just a bed roll.
Rather him than me???.

Beats walking. Though I used to have a fantasy in my youth of walking from north to south like a sadhu.

So it was a shaggy-dog story, right from the start?
