These prices look on the high side to me, unless they've gone up recently. All taxi destinations and fixed prices are listed on a board directly in front of you as you leave "Arrivals".

600 indian rupees. Not a penny more not a penny less.
Used to be 550 earlier but with the price hike in fuel nowadays some are charging 650. But 600 IR is the right price. |

I paid 750R RETURN in January! Best bet is to go with the pre-pay taxi stand. Less hassle and at least you know you're not being fleeced! Or at least check out their price, and make sure to pay less if you're negotiating directly yourself.

how much would it be if i hopped on the local bus? i think i need to make 3 stops, first to Panjim, then Panjim to Mapusa and then finally to Calangute/Baga , not more than 50 bucks am sure!

paid 650 from the airport to the hotel in calangute (nagoa) and 750 to the airport from the hotel (with an hour and half detour of old goa)
