| By Road from Hyderabad to Goa Want to drive down from Hyderabad to Goa. Has anyone lately driven down ? How r the roads ?? The Best route? Heard that the roads near Ponda are bad ? going by Indigo Car ? How is the Lamour Resort in Benuilam beach ? Tks guys. Help me out. sunny |

| I plan to travel to Goa from Hyderabad day after tomorrow on 28th December 2007. Can please anyone help me suggest the road conditions. The two options being Hyd - Sholapur - Bijapur - Belgaum - Londa or Hyd - Raichur - Hubli - Londa |

| The first route has better roads (somebody returned recently on this route, was told the other one is not so good). But the other one is never as good...narrower State Highways, sugarcane threshing on the highway, etc. If I was going to do it in one day, I would take the second route. If two days, I would take the first route, halt at Bijapur overnight, which is good for a few hours... and 400km from Hyderabad via Sholapur, and a little more than halfway. 28th.. be aware of the recent agitation against tourists starting that date (or was it 27th) discussed elsewhere.. also CNN/IBN seems to be covering this somewhat, at least in the things which scroll at the bottom of the screen.
