Buy meds in goa
Dear all,
Me and my partner would be visiting Goa in the last week of july. We are visiting from Dubai and I was wondering if it would be possible for me to purchase Viagra over the counter in Dubai for my weeks holiday there without prescription.
If yes could you please suggest any pharmacies. We would be staying in Santana, so a place near candolim would be really helpful.

There is a website for such. Does anyone have the info at hand (am travelling).?
Generic active ingredient for Vitamin V.
Do look up the pros and cons before pop one
You might suffer from something you did not bargain for.

You might suffer from something you did not bargain for. Also note that it was but the first generation of its kind, but hey, I'm sure that if someone is in the market for it, that they will know that market and what is available.
Every strip of tablets sold here is printed with the MRRP including taxes. Whatever you buying, whether it is Aspirin or Viagra, don't pay more!
Also, especially if the idea is to take some home, check out the expiry date.

Goa has more pharmacies than it does corrupt officials, so thats a lot!
The free and easy days of foreigners being able to walk in and ask for whatever they want, and in large quantities, are gone thanks to over purchase of ketamine, a horse tranquiliser used as a recreational drug. Erring chemists now face a stiff fine, so tough if you have a herd of hyper-active horses.
Meds of all types are still available to you, but you may be limited to one pack/strip so a trek around the shops could be in order.
The active ingredient of the little blue pill was syldenafil, a commonly available substance, so Indian pharmas were quick to copy it at very low prices. This was all over ten years ago and things have moved on with longer lasting, lower dose pills with different ingredients taking over. From memory, Camagra/Caverta were popular brands in Goa, however a search of the internet will give you a list of names as most of those sold on-line seem to originate in India.
On your return, do not carry them in hand-baggage as there have been many reports of the terminally corrupt security staff making a fuss about them in order to extract a bribe.
At your home customs desk, it varies. Some countries they are illegal, some don't give a damn, the UK for example has a complex rule about "prescription quantities" and "personal consumption", which seems to result in "bulk" being OK, but only enough for say, a years personal consumption. Complex!

Exactly!Thats why I said its complex (and subject to the opinion of the Customs Officer) as it could be deemed to be 12, 52 or 365, or anywhere between

Just to clarify, Caverta/Camagra were the popular brands of viagra copy in Goa. The new lower dose 5-20mg as opposed to 100mg) tablets are Cialis and contain the ingredient Tadalafil and are reported to last several days, remaining inactive until needed. The lower doses are being prescribed on a regular basis to combant several major illnesses......
Thanks for the info everyone. I was wondering if any local person could give me the name of the pharma near candolim.
And I do not plan to carry anything with me as the customs in Dubai are very very strict when it comes to unprescribed meds.

Jeanie, I would have thought you would have grasped a few facts by now?
1. Selling you the tablets is actually illegal, so........
2. Listing pharmacists who will do this on a public forum would be stupid, and pointless, because.......
3. I have already said that they are thick on the ground, and they all sell the bl@@dy things.
So go to Candolim, walk into a pharmacists and ask for them. If there is a problem (refusal is possible.....or out of stock as out of season for tourists, the main market) then walk into another one until you get what you want.
