| Goa has one airport, one capital city, and they are not very far apart. You really would think a bus link would be possible? |

What a total farce! Certainly no train, they are still struggling with buses....... If you dont want to spend half a day getting from the airport to your resort, then take a taxi. The unbelievably fair price for 45 mins to 1 hour and 40-ish kms will be 600-700 rupees, as I am sure you are aware, an absolute bargain! Enjoy your holiday in Wonderland

| Member | So, frens any idea exactly how much minimum taxi price may be from Dabolim Airport to Calnagute. My resort which is already booked is in Calangute. I have no idea how far (Kms.) calangute is from dabolim? Does it take minimum, if i bargain hard, Rs. 600-700 to reach Calangute? Appreciate your help. |

If you go to this page on IM Goa Taxi fares and read it thoroughly, not only will you find an up to date list of fares (certainly not fair!) You will also find where to pay for them and also Sharshank's recommendations on how to get a taxi/private car even cheaper, which will work with varying efficiency depending on how much luggage you are carrying (its a fair walk in the heat out to the main road), how Indian you look (less likely to be charged "skin-tax"), and how long you wish to spend messing around with this typical Goan ritual?

| if you use prepaid taxis, make sure you go out of the arrivals hall and use the booth outside as its cheaper than the one inside! I think non a/c to Arambol (North Goa) was around 900R, in luxury taxi 1200R Last edited by the_funky_traveller; Mar 5th, 2010 at 12:09.. Reason: addition |
