6:15 - 6:30 is not too late. I see no reason for you not to get a bus.

Thanks for the reply. Only I didn't see it in time.

But then I searched the net and found Vasco KTC phone number. Called them up and they told me the last bus left Vasco at 9.30 pm for Panaji.

Here is some more information in case someone might find it of some use. My flight got delayed and I landed at Dabolim at 7.30 pm, it was pretty dark and I was tired so decided to take a taxi instead. The official counter board displayed the tariff as Rs 565 for Panaji; walked outside the gate, taxi drivers there were willing to go for 500, I told them that I was alone and wanted to share the taxi, so they looked for another passenger also willing to share and charged me Rs 300 for the trip (and another 300 from the other passenger - a couple. So the taxi driver made an extra 100 and I got to travel for 300

On my return trip, I was to travel in the afternoon, so I decide to take a bus. I took a Non stop from Panaji to Vasco - Rs. 25 (one can get off at chicalim but I decided to go all the way to Vasco bus stand since I had luggage and thought that it would be easier to board from the starting point). All buses going from Vasco to either BITS (simply called Birla by the bus drivers) or Bogmelo pass via Dabolim airport. On this part of the journey the bill came to Rs. 7 So the return journey was made in Rs 32. Not bad eh!

Very useful post, it's these bits of info, no matter how small, that make indiamike such a special website.

Thanks Steven, the idea is precisely to provide the small bits of information. And I agree with you it is indeed the small bits of details that makes Indiamike special.
