British tourist robbed in Anjuna

Brit robbed at knife point
HERALD CORRESPONDENT
MAPUSA, FEB 12 — Five robbers armed with knives and other deadly weapons on Saturday night attacked a foreigner staying at Anjuna, Vagator and decamped with cash and jewellery and other articles worth around Rs 50,000 at knife point.
The robbers who gained entry into the house by breaking open the rear door took away Rs 20,000 cash, a Motorola mobile phone, a camera and jewellery worth Rs 30000 besides assaulting the complainant Ananta Crown alias Ananta Madar who is a British national.

Very dissapointed to hear the same. Goa police should pay immediate attention in solving the case.
But this are just one of incidents & Goa stills remains a paradise for tourists.

Once up on a time we were a regular vistor to Goa & we went every year. About 8 years back while returning to Baga from Calangute at night I was robbed at knife point. We realised that our quaint laid back Goa has changed & we couldnt handle it no more. So we never came back. We have discovered other jewls on the vast Indian coast line & are very happy.
