Ketamine is often mixed with cocaine and given the snappy name CK1. I can only imagine how lethal that could be...

Mod note: Puchoo, though we don't go around looking for profanity, it is against forum rules. We will normally edit profanity if we see it, or if it is reported/highlighted, as in this case.

The original post you referred to, and the quote in your post above have both been suitably edited.

I did hear about it being used on my last trip Jan/Feb 2008 a couple of times. Also got chatting to guy when I landed back at Glasgow who has spent a few weeks in South Goa and he reckoned it was popular down there amongst certain circles. Do an internet search and see what comes up.

No wonder people are dropping like flies if they are ingesting that kind of stuff...

It makes you wonder

Ketamine , rohipnol , amil nitrate , morphine are all availible from pharmacies in India . Hence the luxuries shops open all night in goa and mumbai .
Pune and Roha produce solvent bsaes drugs for Mumbia and Goa market . Registered police informants transport the drugs across any state line in taxi's .
Morphine is common in spiked drinks as is crystal meths . I don't advise a trip to Maharatra (pune , Roha) area as starngers stand out like a sore thumb and the loacal peole are very paranoid as are the police ...due to the products being produced .

Ketamine is produced in India (ostensibly for vet purposes, but some dodgy pharmacies in Goa sell it under the counter)-pharmacologically it is fairly benign - I don't believe overdoses are fatal.

Unforuantely the 'hippy' scene is attracted to Goa , add a criminal gang or two plus large cash profits , Goa is the last place for anybody get stoned . Michael Harvey and Bandra boy died through 'over drugging' . Bisuits and friut have an added extra for the purpose of robbery or rape on occasion . Death of the victim is ok because the pathologist (recently suspended) will help to cover up any suspicion .
In goa you must stay clean and alert , which defeats the idea of a holiday somewhat !!! The hippy scene is dead , the local people have moved away due to the new comers many drawn here from Mumbai and Calcutta , policeman in Goa pay for a post here due to lucrative drug fining system .
Roy Naik the son of the home minister was involved in a serious assult last week against an opposition party member . That is goa politic's it is all about ownership of the drug trade
The bigger the taxi , the higher up in the chain your driver is ....avoid the Tata cars they are the most dangerous and protected men . The police can locate anybody via the computer linked to every Hotel or beach hut . Should a goon want to find you he can , he will right there outside waiting in his taxi , unless the police decide to help and raid your room . It is so common , there is a kudos in harming you too ...they boast between themselves what they have done , they even keep a scrap book at the police station in Panjim of the people they have locked up for ten years + . life is cheap in India and even cheaper in goa ....three times cheaper than the national average . 78% accidental death in Goa 26% elsewhere in India .

Yet another scam out in the open. It continues to get more disturbing and bone chilling by the hour. I'm quite sure there is a lot more to come...

rama-roo, are you saying that 78% of Goans die in accidents?

Sounds pretty unlikely.

Maybe from some dodgy Goan shop that is no more than a cover for drug dealing, but, 'In India'? No, they are not. A lot of stuff is available that, technically (and legally) requires a prescription, but there are limits. Unless You know someone really well....

In that case it a damn-site more technologically advanced than the rest of form-filling India. DNA sensors in the beach hits, I suppose...

Par for the course in India

But from your previous posts, I see you have reason to feel bitter about Goa.

That's funny, as we get a lot of visitors and immigrants to Pune at least here who report no such evils.

That would be the efficiently administered Form C "computer"?
