Boat Rides In Goa

Are there regular ferry services from Panjim to various beaches in Goa?
Can we take a boat from Anjuna to Palolem? How long does it take?
What does it cost? Is it safe and comfortable?

No ferry services. There are river cruises on the Mandovi river which start from Panjim and there is also the Caravela which is a small ship with a casino on board.

No, not for leisure.
I meant to ask if ferries are used as a means of transport. To cross over from Panjim to Candolim etc, for instance.
Surely there must be some boats plying between the beaches!

There is no boat/ferry service between the beaches for the public. The reason for this is the absence of jetties at the beaches where a ferry can dock. You can of course rent a small boat and spend a whole day visiting one beach at a time!

What would that cost?
Do they charge by the hour?
If I were to just cross over from Panjim jetty to Candolim or Calungute, what would the boat ride cost?
Are these small boats safe?
Which beach has the speed boat rides?
And water scooters?

Thanks for taking the trouble to respond.

Hard to say whether the boats are safe or not. You can get boats on rent at the southern end of Candolim near the Fort Aguada beach resort.

Water Sports

The traditional fishing community has raised concern over attempts to start water sports activities along Canacona’s coast.
