Black Labrador found near Saligao

Yesterday night (Sunday 17th March), I found a black female Labrador on the road between Saligao and the Pilerne industrial area. This is a bit of a empty road where there are no houses. I hope she is from somebody in Saligao and just lost but she may be abandoned.

In any case, we put up posters this morning in all shops in Saligao, the surrounding areas, the local vets and at the local animal shelters but until now no response which worries me.

She is very affectioned with people but very aggressive to my other seven dogs so I have to find her owner or another home for her quickly.

Just on the off-chance that there is anybody on India Mike from Saligoa, I have attached the poster we put up. I have left out our telephone number as I don't want that to float around on the web but please PM me and I will reply immediately.

In case we do not find her owner, should anybody be interested in adopting her, please also let me know.

Thanks.

Birds

What a cute Lab. Does it have a collar and name tag? How about calling him Rupert? He does not look 4-6 tears old, probably younger. If I were in India and no one claims him, I would certainly adopt him. He and Nattu would make great playmates, however, having 2 males may not be a good idea (aggressive, dominant roles).

Priya

Thanks for the correction, I don't know how I missed that!

My name proposal in that case - Elsa (of Born Free fame). Also, she would make a good companion for Nattu.

Cheers

Labs are the best, IMHO. Always puppy like!

Mine, adopted from the humane society here:

Good News!

Good news! The owner just came to pick her up. She is called Ebony. Turns out Ebony was about six km away from home!

Apparently the industrial area (where we found her) has factories where they do shift work and also work during the night.

Some of the workers pass by the area where this dog lives and have befriended her through food so she follows them and this time she went all the way. Once the workers entered the factory she apparently could not find her way back.

I have asked the owner to put a telephone number on Ebony's collar so it would be easier to bring her back if she gets lost again. Also suggested she keeps Ebony inside at the time the workers pass by.

So, for once, an happy ending on a dog story :-) ;-)
