Best Budget hotel in nice area in GOA

Guys, i need your help. I am arriving the 25th of november in GOA but I can't seem to find a nice budget hotel approx Rp 2000/3000 a day. I have never been there so I don't know what area is best to stay in.

I want to go to nice beaches and shopping/markets and stuff.

What can you recommend?

In www.hostelworld.com there is plenty of accommodation in that price range or cheaper. I have only been in Anjuna beach and in Arambol and i think they are nice places.
From Anjuna it is easy to go by bus or taxi to Mapusa or Panjim for shopping. Wednesdays market in Anjuna is not so great for shopping. I used to go there just to drink chai and watch all the madness around me.

2000-3000 isn't really budget in my book. You should be able to get a decent place for that price.

Here's a few places in the south,

There's a couple of nice hotels here in Bogmalo. It's a quiet resort but nice and central,an hour from the North and South.

North Goa

Hi Ananda 2193,

I looked up your recommendations for Goa on this post and must say I was impressed. Any ideas for around Candolim for places to stay, restaurants, etc. for a good time. My mom is 85 and with us so trying to give her a good time. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, but I'm not really knowledgeable about Candolim. But someone should be around soon with some good info on there. Good luck!

Try Melid1ous Waves in Sinquerim (near Candolim)..We stayed they a few years ago and it was great...Clean rooms, friendly staff, good location and u can use the pool next door at the Marquis Hotel for a very small fee.
