Best Beaches and Places To Stay in Goa

My boyfriend and I (from Washington DC and New York City, respectively) are going to be on vacation in Goa this upcoming Feb, 2006. Where are the best beaches? We are looking for a place that we can both relax and party. We are looking for semi-luxury accommodations. Any suggestions?

These beaches are on far north. They are far from the commercialised areas of calangute and bagga. You can go swimming in your bikini wihout having to put up with the uneasy and just too obvious stares from indian guys, who are not used to seeing 'real' women in bikini.

On select nights, you could chance to land upon a beach-side party there. House and trans - and lots of marijuna, and I guess some little stronger stuff as well.

And if your boyfriend can ride a bike, any party in Goa will be within your reach. Try out Cuba Cubana for partying and Fiesta for dinner. (In Bagga and Calangute area).

For Accomodation: You can try the beach tents in Asvem. They are cozy and provide all the modern amenities. It will cost you about $30 a night. Or you could choose to stay in a nicer plae with a swimming pool (God knows why would someone want that by the sea side) and that would cost you about $100 a night.
If you want luxury, you can try out the Taj at about $150 a night but that will be on the southern side of Goa.

Just back from Goa and dying to go back.

The tents at Radisson in Varca r fantastic.....U cld probably try that out...the hotel has an awesum pool too
