After all these years, now is when we have a thread like this ??? Wonder why this was never asked before ?

I have a big favorite in Anjuna, the place which has live crabs in a tank. But now forgot the name. Shall dig out and update soon.

As a 'Foodie' you are in for a treat. The food is absolutely fantastic. Ensure you try Xacuti and the local dessert delicacy, Benebica, wonderful!!

thx for the food tips...appreciated :-)

was reading bout bebenica...sticky and soooo sweet? wonder if its safe to have them pork sausages? I know for a fact that eating pork in india can be dicey unless one is sure if the animals have been farm bred and suitably processed.. I'm hoping I can resist em if they aren't properly processed though!

55 days to go...seems so long

Goan sausages vary from the mildly spicey to very hot. Unfortunately we tried the very hot -- won't be having them again. Strange though, they are not on the menu in any of the shacks as they aren't allowed to be cooked on the beach.
