I agree with you that Palolem is one of the best beaches in Goa. In fact we have been there twice & both times we stayed in beach huts.

I haven't been to all, but went to about 5 Goan beaches in December. Palolem was by far my favorite.

Palolem prettiest? Yes!

Best? For me no! Too touristic and full of restaurants and shacks for my taste.

Hi Ronak, we are heading to Corbett in April and planning a week in Goa for the final relaxation, we have stayed at the Taj before but this sounds interesting, would welcome suggestions for good beach huts.

Hi tripsammy, Hope you have a great time in Corbett as you had last time with Ramesh.

Ciarans on Palolem is one of the costliest beach hut in Palolem. There are more than 50 beach hut property in Palolem. I have stayed at two properties one of them is Sai Valentine's (North Side) which has only basic facility but the sea facing hut is great. Other one is Papillon which has little more facilities & is located in extreme south. Check this thread for some discussion on Palolem beach huts. If you are looking for some what luxury & don't mind spending extra then Ciarans is the place. Also April will be off season so you can check out the places yourself once you land up at Palolem.

Ronak.

Thanks for this, it certainly looks interesting, think we might do a couple of nights here after Corbett, for a bit of rest! Some reviews say the beach is very busy and over touristic, any opinion as to what it will be like in April?

Palolem is def. busy during the season. But since April will be an off season it shoud not be that touristy. Plus very few Indian tourists visit this place as compared to say Calangute. If you want very less crowded beach than opt for Agonda beach.

i loved Benaulim beach. it was quiet, the swimming was easy. and there were a few shacks. not a whole lot of crowd here.
we were there in early-Nov.

Betalbatim beach was pretty good too. It had a nice shack as you enter which serves yummy food

But have to agree with folks that Palolem is one of the best. But sometimes it is a bit far away from everything else.
