benaulim to anjuna

can anyone give me an idea on how long or difficult it is to get from Benaulim to Anjuna in Goa? trying to work out some details. cheers.

I'm not sure if the train would be the best option, but here goes.

A local train starts from Madgaon (Margao) at 07:15 every morning, it gets to Thivim at 08:07.

There are busses from Benaulim to Madgaon, though I dont know about transport from Thivim to Anjuna, it's about 10 kms so a taxi/rickshaw shouldn't cost too much, Mapusa is about half way between the train station and Anjuna, so maybe a but from the train station, then another from Mapusa, there should be plenty of busses.

The train in the other direction calls at Thivim at 17:54 and gets to Madgaon at about 19:15.

Take the bus from Benaulim village to Margao(15-20min ride) bus stand. Transfer to any bus heading to Panaji(1 hour ride) or take the Margao-Mapusa express bus(only available during the daytime Monday to Friday). From Mapusa to Vagator/Anjuna is a 20min ride. As you can see it is a real hassle to go from Benaulim to Anjuna by bus. Best option is to hire a scooter/motorcycle and you can be independent and have a really really good time.

Easiest I would suggest would be Benaulim short bus to Margao then the bus to Mapusa (could take 2hrs+) then Mapusa to Anjuna (half an hour)

If it's for the IM meet-up / Party, then to connect to your other post about accomadation, then leave Benaulim with all your gear & take whats on offer up in anjuna,,,,,,,,,,,
