Beach Huts & Electricity
I was wondering...do budget beach huts have electricity (Palolem)...u know to power up the fan or radio, charge a cell phone...?
And what's up with the security? May i leave my camera and phone in the hut and go swimming? Thx, Daryo |

NO. There is no security in India. Do not leave anything in the hotel (unless its one of them 20 starred ones).

Almost all beach huts have electricity - often just a cable strung up.
Don't take your valuables to the beach unless someone is always with them watching If the room looks secure it may be worth the chance in a locked bag but many people take a room close by the beach and well watched by management for just this reason.Noticed "nothing left to steal" signs on Palolem huts so draw your own conclusions ![]() |
