You'll have to take the 'luxury' bus services from Kalasipalayam; Tickets would cost you anything from 350-700 Rs. I think it's a 14hr journey, buses leave around 10pm in the night. Please check where you might want to get dropped off. Usually these buses have a tie-in with local lodge keepers who help tourists find cheap places to stay.
My suggestion: go to Kalasipalayam & make your way to 1. Sharma travels 2. KPN and ask them; if they don't offer services, they'll tell you who does. |

I guess you want to go straight, same day, without any stops along the way.... but if you had a couple of days up your sleeve I'd suggest going from Bangalore to Hampi by overnight train (the railway station is Hospet), spending at least one full day and night in Hampi (one of the wonders of the world, in my opinion -- there are fewer more amazing places in India), and then going on to Goa via either coach or overnight train again.
Is that an option for you? |

thans for all your tips. I just got my air ticket confirmed from bangalore to goa
-- just when i begining to give up hope..jarman-ah, i would like to visit Hampi on the way back from Goa to Bangalore. Any tips on how to get from Goa to Hampi ? Then I can take the overnight train from Hospet to Bangalore. I am pressed for time -- so Hampi will have to be a day trip.. |
