Bangalore Mangalore road still closed?

Hi,

My friends are planning to drive down to Goa via Mangalore in the last week of November, along NH 48. From what I heard, the Shiradi Ghat section of the road was closed for repairs even as of last week. Can anyone tell me when it is likely to open and where I can reconfirm before my friends set out from Bangalore?
