Baga / Calungute Last minute accomodation

We've just booked flights, arriving 18th March, stopping 14 nights. Any recommendations for A/C rooms, max budget 1200/- a night in the Baga area 1st preference, calungute area 2nd preference.
Thanks in advance

Don't panic! It is getting to the end of the season in Goa so you have the upper hand when it comes to bargaining. All the hotels in Baga or Calangute are not really that far from each other so if you just walk in and try and play them off against each other you should have no probs getting your deal for the price you want.

I agree - you don't need to book in advance. You'll get better deals if you just show up .... but, if you want to pre-book you could try Ronil's Resort or Colonia Santa Maria in Baga. Also Villa Fatima (lower end of the scale).

I'm not panicing, just looking for recommendations on suitable accomodation.
Armed with these it will cut down on my leg work when I get there.

I will neverever go there again.
And I strongly disrecommend this hotel.
Even the people working there did not seem to be happy.

I didn't like Villa Fatima much either, but to be fair it was really cheap! Can you recommend other places in a similar price range (and good location) that are better?

Are you comfortable with Candolim?

We stayed at a nice place (but non a/c basic rooms) in candolim in last December.
