availability of hotels in north goa in oct end

Hi Indianmikers,

I am from Delhi and I am visiting goa for the first time. So I am having few doubts.

I will be reaching there on Oct 25 and will stay there for 4d/3n. We are two couples but are on a budget trip. I have searched over internet and found few hotels like hotel atlanta and balaji resort which are coming in my range(Rs5000 for 3 days). But I have seen mixed reviews about them. So now I am in doubt if I should book online now or book it when I reach there. Can anyone please suggest me will i get a good deal when I reach there or there could be a problem of full hotels. By the way I am looking for hotels with swimming pool, AC, clean toilets and not too far from calangute beach. If anyone can suggest me some good hotels in my range it will be great.

Till date whenever I have travelled I have never booked online and got good deal when I reach anywhere. But I have mostly travelled in north india and have good knowledge about it. I am travelling first time away from north india.

Pankaj it will be very difficult to find a hotel with "swimming pool, AC, clean toilets and not too far from calangute beach" on your budget of about RS.5000 for 3 days.

You can try the Ticlo in Calangute. It does meet your requirements but is a bit more than your budget:

Your travel time of Oct. 25 is not a very busy tourism time in Goa and hotels will not be all full at that time and I don't think you will have any problem checking a few places on arrival in Calangute and then booking to avoid the surprises of online reservations.

I usually recommend Lagoa Azul. It fits all your requirements.

OK it is difficult to find hotel as per my requirement. Will I find any other good and little cheaper option if I am ok with staying away from Calangute beach.
Also I just thought of another question what will be the cost for renting a car in Goa/scooty.

The cost depends on the model and the condition. Car rentals start from Rs 800/day and scooters start from Rs 150-200/day.

As far as your hotel concerned, don't bother about Atlanta resort. There are many better options available in your budget.

Go for Dona Julia in Calangute or Marina Bay in Candolim or Jessica Saffron beach resort in Candolim.
