Hey

Does anyone know from when does the Arpora market begin also how can we hire a stall at this place is their any responsibe organisation handling the management

info will be appreciated

The market starts on 12 November. This year it has moved from Arpora to near Siolim.

The rumour mill is working over-time on where the night markets will be. There is talk of one up at Morjim, and a site in Assagao has also been mentioned, as well as Siolim.

Do you know where in Siolim?

Also, do you think that the site of the old Arpora market will be used by other organisers, if Ingo is moving?

One rumour I heard was that the market is to be called Ingo's Kingfisher NightMarket as he had got sponsorship from Kingfisher! Doesn't seem likely to me.

Ingo has an email address but I don't have it to hand. Sorry.

PS Does anyone know the AM frequency for BBC World Service?

Siolim is the village just before the bridge across the Chapora River.

Hi,
I know where Siolim is - I live over the hill in Assagao, but where in Siolim is it? The village is huge and runs from the Church near Siolim House Hotel, right over to the bridge. Any idea where in the 'village' area the market is going to be ?

Looks like the market is going to be in Assagao near the Animal rescue centre.

I heard that all charges against Ingo have been dropped, and he's going to be running the market at Arpora again this season, just like before.

I think he has an email list and sends out info to people who have rented stall space from him in the past, but if you haven't done that, I think you just need to be at the site in the early afternoon of a market day to get a space. Obviously the long-termers get preference, and if you can be there at the beginning of the season that will help.
No idea when the first market is this season, but I think its usually early November.
