Nope. Apparently there is a stinking whale carcase driving people away.
Personally, I'd go a long way to see a dead whale of that size, but you can't even see it because it's been buried in a shallow trench. ![]()

I don't like Palolem and many people who were there 5 years ago, or more, don't go there now. Many still love it. Go there, have a look and let us know. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Hi
We just came back from 2 weeks in Goa and loved Palolem. Couldn't see any evidence of the dead whale people are talking about and it certainly wasn't stopping people going into the sea. Sea was as rough in Palolem as it was in North Goa but we loved it. Alot of beach shacks were still being built but many were up by the time we left. We much prefered Palolem to Baga - Palolem had quite a few tourists (but wasn't crouded) whereas there was hardly anyone in Baga and the place was dead. Loved Dropardi restaurant - superb. We stayed at Ciaran's and also the Palolem Guest House - both good for slightly different reasons! In conclusion - go to palolem - it'll have much more atmosphere than any of the other beach resorts right now and there wasn't a dead whale to be seen! Cheers |
