Anybody in Goa Jun 7 - 11, 2012? Kitesurfing anyone?
Hi - i'm considering going to Goa from Mumbai June 7-11 2012 to hang out and hopefully do some kitesurfing. Anybody around there? Any advice?
I'm a 39 year old American male.
Thanks,
Fred

Early days of monsoon - lots of rain and wind.
No kite-surfing and not much of anything else really.

If he has his own rig then no problem to kite surf, Rajbag and Galgibag in the south would be good.
If the monsoon is on time (official met office forecast only is sued yesterday suggests so) then this is a period when constant daily winds and rain is most likely , can only speak from personal experience.

Not known for 300mm of rain in a day and sudden winds without warning that uproot trees and blow roofs of houses either. These are common occurrences at the START of the monsoon. As are seriously rough seas and high tides reaching beyond the dunes at the back of the beach (I assume the beach is the intended venue?)But hey, its not me doing it and I'm fed up with arguing so go ahead and enjoy................

300mm? Blimey. On the whole it doesn't sound like a clever idea to go anywhere near the sea with weather like that. Mind you, strong winds were just what were needed by the kitesurfers who jumped Worthing Pier : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYFoF5UIX0U
