Question another stupid question!!!!!!!

I will be in South Goa for the first 3 weeks of November, does anyone know of a bar or hotel that I could possibly get to see the rugby world cup? I know rugby is not at all followed in India but I thought maybe some of the tourist hotels have sattelite television that might show it???
Thanks in advance for any info.

Well, north Goa is hardly 25 miles north of south goa. if you can't
find something in south, chances are that you won't find it in
north either. But if you stay in a hotel, you may want to as what
channels are available on TV. Or if you stay in a house, you may
consult the cable provider (usually a guy in your neighborhood)
to add a few more (if possible) for a few extra bucks.

I'm sure you will find somwhere in the south, if not, it would take under an hour to get to the following place on a motorbike.

When I was in Panjim I was told about a sports bar in the main street of Candolim that showed live football, so it should show the rugby.

I never went there so cannot comment on it, but I was told it was good, though I was also told of occasionaly problems between local youths and package tourists, so beware, the place also has a pool table.

No problem!!

Hi Londonboy,
Seeing the rugby world cup in South Goa won't present a problem as both Star Sport And ESPN Star are showing the games these are common channels available on almost all cable networks!!
I suggest the Sun "N" Moon Palolem or any of the bar/restaurants in this vicinity!!
Here's the link so you can look up the screening times!!!

Thumbs up

Adam,
I'm obviously hoping our boys can finally bring that trophy to the northern hemisphere, I think this is the best chance we have ever had.
If they fail, by the way, you can keep them over there!!!!!!!
Regards from London, Tom.
