Advice on moving to Goa

Hi,

My partner and I are looking to move to India for a year, right now we are thinking about goa and would like some advice on where would be the best place. Ideally we would like somthing close to the beach, but we're not after a party scene. We will have our 1yr old son with us so we would like good access to doctors or a hospital in event of an emergency. Internet access is a must as I will be telecommuting.

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Hope you are aware that a Tourist visa only allows a max of 180 days at a time.

and you might not want to stay through a whole monsoon anyway. best to arrive mid to late october, stay 6 months and move on somehwere else. That's my opinion anyway.

i'd move somewhere like benaulim. top class hospital maybe 6km away in margao.

Thanks! We can Only go in January. So might stay in South for 4 months and move north after.
Any suggestions?
The place you recomended in Goa is near the beach as well?
I've been to India, stayed In gokarna, loved it but we need a place with more infra structure now with the baby.
Any idea of cost of living?
We want a confirtable house near the beach, kind of middle range budget.
Is $1500 dollars a month enough to cover our main costs?
Any help is welcome!!!
