Can anyone advise me about some accommodation in Calangute, fairly cheap with shower and toilet. I am sure you have your favorites but please share with me I am nearly a pensioner................well nearly. Telephone numbers and possible tarrifs would be useful as would a description.
Thanks folks going Next February 2006 so have yet to arrange flight got one from Birmigham for £450 best so far but Excel announce thirs from Mnachester in about 8 weeks.
Please help a poor old man out.

What is your budget like? Rupees 200/day? Rupees 500/day. How many days are you going to stay?

rates looking for

I am looking for about 500 rups a night. Stayed near sequerium in a great guest house this year, Lucia Beach for 450 Rp a night but we were travelling up to Calangute all the time just for a fw beers at night. I suppose the south side of Calangute appeals and near the beach. I know there are loads of places but getting contact numbers and ratres seems an obstacle course.

The Goa Tourism Development Corporation has two hotels in Calangute. One is right on the beach and is known as the Calangute Residency and there is onw which is about 500 metres from the beach which is known as the Calangute Tesidency Annexe. The annexe is newer and cheaper and the rooms are clean with good service. The room tariff is around Rupees 450 for a non-AC room.
The details and phone numbers are here
