4 days in Goa: Stay in Panjim and tour on a Bullet
I'm planning on a trip to Goa in July '08 with my girl.
Ive had enough of drinking Kings and getting wasted on one of the beaches (even if it IS arambol). Ok that's on as well but we want to see more of goa this time ![]() So we've planned to travel within Goa, and rent a Bullet for transportation. Questions I have: 1. Is it convenient to use Panjim ( The place is somewhere near the big bridge that connects Panjim and the beach ) as a base and travel around Goa? 2. What are the things we can do in Goa ? Places to see etc.? I have 4 days. Thanks a lot! PS: If this information is on another thread already, please direct me to it, I haven't been able o find anything so far. Cheers and Peace! Sid |

Usually raining heavily in July. A bike might not be a good idea. You won't be lying on the beach either. Panjim's probably a good idea. Central and something to do if it is raining heavily.Stick to the beer.

There is not much to do in Goa in the month of July. I would recommend that you avoid going there.

Stayed in Panjim and Anjuna, beautiful weather throughout( I think we just beat the heavy monsoon rains..
Goa in the off season has it's advantages: Peace all around Less 'hordes of kingfisher drinking indian men on the beach'.. yes it's a stereotype now and everyone hates their guts.. Didn't rent a Bullet, though the trusty old Activa took us all the way around Goa, from Arambol to the St Francis Xavier Memorial in Old Goa... So i guess if you get lucky, early July is the best time to really 'chill out' in Goa. Cheers! |
