2 days a half in Goa... too long?

Hey there everyone.

We're organizing a trip to India and thinking of spending two and a half days in Goa. Is this too much time in Goa? What would you suggest that we see in Goa during those 2 and half days or less...

Thanks

Two and a half days? Too much time?

It may be too little, whether you want to just sightsee, and specially if you want to relax.

I could and have spent months in Goa, so 2 days is a tease.

You can just relax on a beach, obviously, or visit a spice farm, or take a boat to see dolphins, or ............

There are maybe 20 major beach areas, a major waterfall, and thousands of square kms of land, it takes over 2 hours to travel through Goa on a train.

I'd love to hear more about the spice farm visits. How does one do that? And where exactly? I'm going to be spending about 4-5 days in and around Palolem in November.

Here's one that's gets good reviews by Ponda,

www.sahakarifarms.com

Here's a few more,

http://www.goa-holidays-and-hotels.c...antations.html

And close to Palolem is Pepper Valley, a little place on a river where you can swim and relax on the border with Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. They have basic rooms and a restaurant and though not really a spice farm, they have betul and pepper plants. A nice place to spend a few hours or a day relaxing or doing nature walks. They have a website that I posted here before. I couldn't find it now though. Only a few miles from Palolem next to Cotigao.

Thumbs up Sahakari

I've been to Sahakari about 6 times, taking friends who are visiting. Everyone enjoys it and I still do as well. Get there about 11.30/12.00. you get a welcoming drink and some info on what you will see followed by a walking tour of the farm. This is followed by a buffet lunch included in the price(400rs I think) Drinks extra. There are also 3 elephants you can ride(short ride 500rs I think) and also they will take one to the stream where you can scrub it's back while it's having a bath. Bring your swimwear for this one.

Looked it up for you; it's here "Peaceful" retreat, south or west India? and here Yoga retreat but their site seems to be up for sale, i.e., disfunctional.

Mwêh, who knows really. Many directories will end up with an up-for-sale sign like that for an unoccupied website. So if they didn't pay for it, this could be the result.

I'd check on the ground or try those phone numbers, but that's just me. The web isn't everything that's for sure.
