I am wondering.. If Google, bada Bing, Yahoo, NRA and RNC snoop on every nook and cranny of India Mike's forums ?
Lots of travel gems are sometime not posted here for reasons that the information is not meant to be widely disseminated.

No problem. If they are "not posted here" as you say, then they can't be snooped, can they?(Oops: be snooped?)
Are you referring to secret parts of IM?
My Google News Alert to email occasionally feeds me an IM post as news because it contains my favorite keywords.
Don't know about Bing but Google can be pretty quick. On the much under-rated Train Talk (Chai & Choo Choos) thread Golghar made a post which included the word "siderodromologist" (look it up

The Masala forums here are not searchable, not even by this site's search engine, and not even internally on those threads. The rest, consider it the public domain & out in the open till kingdom comes, of course. I thought NYCank would be well aware of it?

But much reticence in the field I in fact haven't noticed. I have a theory about the Indian authorities clamping down on the visa run sort of coinciding with the web taking a full swing into its present shape, and so it being happily and openly discussed by all and sundry; whadda koinkidenk, as they say.
