Site Issues Notification Thread

I do face the same issue at times (not frequently though) when the home page takes few minutes before loading up. It just seems to get stuck.

No problems whatsoever to report from this end.

Yes, sometimes it is slow, even when I try to go to the next page.

There is a stats job that runs every hour on the hour. I've dialed that back now, so let's see if that makes a difference.

It's happening right now!

At 8:47 NYC time I tried to post a reply on the Where Was This Photo Taken(2) thread. I stared at the message "Waiting for IndiaMike" for upwards of two minutes before it finally made the post. Then similar delays in trying to get through to Settings, View All Subscribed Threads, and this very thread itself.

distaff says to point out we have a fast DSL connection. We usually make connection easily and quickly, and we don't have this problem with other forums.

At the speed of 1.3 Mbps (speed tested using Intel website), I am finding everything loading fine!

I'm stumped. I haven't been able to find anything wrong with performance over the last few days. You mentioned that you had the same problem from a couple of different computers. Are they all on the same internet connection?

Yes, but I've run speed checks for each and both and it's fine; no other forum or site is slowed by our both being on-line at the same time.

So, it's still happening then? If so, please PM me. It doesn't look like an overall site performance issue at this point.

I wish to inform you that at around 20:27 Hrs (IST) even at a speed of 2.1 MBPS, I was facing problem of loading the page .
I did get the page like shown below, that too, after 11 minutes:

Yeah, I saw that as well. But it sorted itself out before I could logon. Site seems to be fine now.

... Whoops, so just when I had been about to add I think she'd been steady at least at my end these past days, there looked to have been a major outage just now, at least over here again. Must have been c. 20:00-20:30 CET, I only tried again just now. Site fully unresponsive; it looks to be OK again right now.

Oh well, such is the way of cyberlife, I guess.

Same thing for me between about 19.10 and 19.45 BST. I was getting a message "Server at Indiamike not responding". Seems OK again now.

The server at www.indiamike.com is taking too long to respond.

Slowslowslow. Took forever to get to the Home page and then to get from there to here (at 4:37 NY Time)

I'm online now and the other computer is not.

I waited so long for IM that I got this message, which I've never seen before.



And, when I tried to attach this screen shot, it took so long to get to Manage Attachments that I got the message again.

All other sites I visited are working just fine for me.

Then, when I tried to upload the file again (4:45 NY Time), it worked in seconds.

Something is very hinky here.
