How to Unsubscribe from a Thread?

Can you tell me how I unsubscribe from a thread? Threads from two years ago are no longer relevant, but still show up.

Also, how can posts be automatically viewed newest to oldest?

Thank you.

Go to thread tools (drop down menu) just above your post here and select 'unsubscribe'.

Display order -

Go to QuickLinks in the top right of the screen, select My User Panel in the drop down menu. Then select Edit Options on the left hand side. Then under Thread Display Options there is a section called Thread Display Mode and you can select Linear Oldest First or Linear Newest First.

This is information I didn't know I needed until Dave asked. Thanks for letting us know how to do this, Julia. I'm now down to a little over a thousand subscribed threads.

How to Unsubscribe in Bulk!

In case you wish to unsubscribe threads in bulk, there is a quicker way to do it.

Please click "My Settings" mentioned under "Welcome <member>". You would find a link "List Subscriptions" on left hand pan. If you click the same, you would reach "Subscribed Threads in Folder". You would find check boxes in front of titles of subscribed threads.

Now, you need to check those threads which you wish to unsubscribe. Once checking is complete, please reach bottom of page. There is a drop down menu (just above Page numbers mentioned): "Selected threads:". You need to select "Delete Subscription" and click "Go" button.

You would be unsubscribed from all the selected subscribed threads.

Daisy, did you know you don't have to subscribe to all the threads you post in?

You can go to Edit Options and then change the Default Thread Subsciption Mode to 'do not subscribe'. That way you can choose which threads to subscribe to, and you won't have thousands of Introduction threads in there.
