Too Much IndiaMike?

I just woke up from an evening nap, and I had a dream that I was on IndiaMike and that I was pleasantly surprised I could change my nickname. I know I don't go on this site as often as others, but when I start dreaming of it, maybe I spend TOO MUCH time on it. Hmmmm.

Too much time?

Well, I suppose it might be possible!

...Wasn't nearly as bad as, in the days when I was fairly new to Unix Systems management, teaching myself and doing a lot of study and reading and...

I had really bad flu with a high fever, like delirious stuff. One day, whenever I fell asleep, I'd dream that one of my file systems was corrupt, and I was struggling with yet another pass of fsck, trying to fix it.

Later in life I upgraded all my vital organs to AIX, and found the Journaled File System to be greatly superior and much more stable... ... ...

Talking of dreams...I used to dream of tsunamis too often ...like I am on a beach with many people (it was usually at Vizag) and there was this huge tidal wave rushing towards me and I always managed to run to safety.

On the morning of December 26, 2004, I was supposed to be driving along the beach at Chennai. Being a Sunday, I managed to wake up late only to catch the tsunami report on TV.

Thereafter, I never had such a dream again!

Did a bit of plumbing work, checked out The Register, team-bhp, and a couple of other sites, checked out the AIX manuals because I've forgotten all the terminology that goes with volume groups and all that...

Actually, that last bit was a lie. I have no intention of relearning any of that stuff! Much as I thrived (throve?) on it once...

I'm taking bets again.

When will Nick reach his 20.000th post?

Hans

P.s. p.s. I might make that a poll

I've always had dreams of snakes, and three weeks ago I got bitten on the leg by a poisonous, but docile snake near my house. Yet, I still dream of snakes.
