There is no such thing on my screen?

This is the last line on my screen in the search page:

Show results as: Threads posts............ [tick mark] also search in child forums

My screen's lower left hand side is blank.......

Same here, hence my previous question.

Maybe you need to be a 1,500-post member to see this?

Yesterday evening, I did an advanced search and the bottom of the screen did offer me a Boolean option. This morning, the Boolean option seems to be missing!?!?!

There is an extra line at the bottom (below 'Show results as:') as follows:

Quote:
Search Type - Natural Language - Boolean
However, indiamike has incorporated a new type of keyboard sensor, only when you type with clean fingernails does it allow a member to view the advanced features of indiamike.com

This new sensor is also being tested on the new 'Anglo-Indian Wife swap' forum.

But seriously.....

The "Search Type - Natural Language - Boolean" line only seems to be available to moderators at the moment, I'm sure Mike will look into it soon.

I've just noticed:
When I do a search without having logged on first, I get the Boolean option on the screen.
When I do a search after having logged on, I do not get the Boolean option on the screen.

Brilliant. Thanks a lot -- makes search so much more useful.

Now we only need to add an link for a 'delhi AND hotel' search to the front page

Yes, it works now

Anyone care to give me an example of a Boolean search string??

I had a hard time searching for "blue quandong".... to be told by the poster himself [old india hand][much later] that the post had been deleted.

Not that the boolean search string will magically restore the deleted thread

I can find most deleted threads or posts, but would need as much info as possible, date posted (even just the month), thread subject, what forum.

Let me know and I will have a look.

Blue quandong, rudraaksha or rudraksha, Elaeocarpus, Nepal, Australia are the key words. Even a few small pics added in the thread.

As to date of posting, I think sometime between Feb 2005 to May 2005

I believe, but not sure... that Mala deleted her threads and it disapeared.

Could you ask old_india_hand if he remembers the dates.... coz he was a major contributor.... of the pics and aussie details.
