| Previous and Next Photos Of The Month Hi All, I've added the ability to scan through previous photos of the months winners. Check out the links under the Photos Of The Month section. Enjoy!

| That is a nice addition, Nadreg. Keep it going ![]() A thought: Don't you think "winners" makes it sound a little too competitive? How's about just "Previous Photos of the Month" or something? (Not just being overly PC about it, but if it's a competition, there's little people can do about it but post good pics & hope they get viewed a lot and rated highly, which I believe are the criteria, and which works out to be naturally a little erratic.) It's also not working at my end. It's some javascript link, maybe I'm blocking it? I get no alerts to that effect though, which doesn't tell you everything, but maybe it needs tweaking.

| Good addition. Can we not simply indicate "previous/Next"? By the way, I am getting 'error on page' message when I click on "prev winners". Sadanand

| Well, it is competitive! But I think Mach has a good point that the presentation would be better without the word 'winners'. Why not just Previous Month and Next Month? And it's a nice feature ![]() |

| I believe I've mentioned this before elsewhere on this forum..I agree that this would make things more complicated, but - there are lots of photographs on here that are heavily photo-shopped, I believe that is unfair towards the majority of members who are not pros. No competition there, how does an amateur compete with PS pros? Personally, I've stopped voting on pictures I guess are photo-shopped. A little sharpening, fixing saturation, etc., is not PSing, imho. I do like and greatly appreciate those edited photographs, for a different reason. ![]() Just a thought. ![]() |

It's just that, frustrating for me atleast, the focus seems to shift to an awesomely PSed picture, unfairly, when a rare picture of an off-the-beaten-track place by an amateur shooting with her/his camera phone goes completely off the map. Thanks. | |
