Lucky You

Our Sikkim trip was dogged by really bad weather, in fact we cut our trip down because of the cold.

Lucky we did nor catch pneumonia of all the damp beds we slept in.

However as ever these mountain folk are hardy and cheery and welcoming,

In the end we resorted to filling up 600 ml pet bottles with hot water to keep our fet warm under layers of blankets. Hoever make sure the tops are sealed well
Himself did not do that se we left a bit of a soggy bed in Pelling.

They were Single beds

A hot geyser was prime priority, butthe himself had a 40/-water heater just in case to prime the bottles

I'm thinking about doing the same trip again next year when we leave S India to escape the heat.

Calcutta I loved , again

What a characterful city.

For a moment, I thought you were going to tell us which thread was deleted. (though I should be able to work it out, I can count on one hand the amount of genuine threads that have been deleted in the last 7 or 8 months.)

Red herrings and IPO.

Not withstanding the common understanding of the phrase, I believe it's a commonly used term in the share markets especially in the USA. All filings before the final prospectus is called the red herring, I believe.

Is it?

I remember getting pissed off with some boring finance-market-oriented thread, and, no doubt, being guilty of everything fsg says!

I guess that, if it was in the offtopic forum, it had a right to be there.

I also seem to remember that no-one came forward with sensible replies either.

Why are we discussing this?

What are we discussing?

Precisely. The 'red herring prospectus'.

India got the term from the US.

Fsg, I have to say, with all due respect, that I hesitate to discuss individual moderation cases in the open forum, for obvious reasons. I am sure you can understand why

Hmmm... that wasn't intended. I had to fix some of the permissions after the software upgrade we sent through recently, and I might have accidentally changed that.

I'll take a look and get back to you shortly.

I just moved a couple of posts by Brishti fro this thread to the DB Error thread, and they've disappeared.

Sorry Brishti
