Posting in Chai & Chat?

I only joined today, mainly for research purposes, having lived in India 1965-1970 & travelled there overland.

I don't seem to be able to post in the "Chai & Chat" forum & after spending the last hour searching - presume the rules don't allow me to but cannot find out what those rules are.

Nice site, could someone point me at the relevant rules or explain?

There are two schools of thought on this.

One is that if you lay out all the restrictions and entitlements and make it easy to find, then people just waffle for their five or ten or fifteen posts and charge right in. Some, but not all, early posts on this site are moderated.

The other is one should make it clear.

It tends to get changed from time to time anyway --- and I don't remember the numbers.

Too new of a poster, I believe. They do that to avoid trolls and s*** stirrers. Its really a civil institution and you will be welcomed warmly in time..
