not to be confused with fishing or pilsner (but if you combine the two it makes for a good day out)!

Geeze! Maybe I'm just too new to get one. Never had an unsolicited PM or scam invite.

Is it my perfume?

I just sent you one, so you needn't feel left out any longer

Please don't report me to the other mods!

Thanks for Protection

I think it's great that you police this site for stuff like that. I get enough crap in my regular e-mail--don't need it here.

By the way, the site is great--has been very helpful to me.

Now I confess again, I did receive an UsPM from a mod, recently, after this thread started, not Nick, that would have been a disappointment again.

I'd better not send you one, then .

Seriously... most people, especially women, are pretty adept at just ignoring an unwanted hello. Anything more persistent (or less decent; it has happened) and unwanted is something the mods want to know about. We will close accounts where necessary.

I've received thousands of private messages from new members asking about train info (or to plan their entire Itinerary), yet I can't remember a single time when the member could be embarrassed about their message or have any other reason not to post the questions in the main forum, after all, it's just as easy to start a thread (or reply to a thread) as it is to send a PM.

Hopefully the new rules will encourage new members to start threads.
Woops. I've pmd Mr Ber as I thought that it didnt need to be a new thread. I sometimes get the feeling that it irritates people when a new thread is started thats been discussed a lot. A new member wouldn't necessarily know what had gone on before.Anyway, to make up for unsolited pm I sent Mr Ber I have recieved at least 4 pms from people trying to pick me up on this site so thats my Karma.

But did they request an itinerary for a day out in London by tube train?

Don't worry, Lucyl, Steven is of a forgiving and ever-helpful, time allowing, nature . Thing is, of course most people have good intentions and intend to do the right thing (at least that's my belief in life). I know that the ones that Steven objects to are those that expect him to do the work that they should be paying a travel agent to do, with complex alternatives and details --- and don't even say thank you if he actually sorts it for them. Not so sure about their intentions; getting a free ride, I suspect.

Few of us mind answering the odd question, although I hardly get a fraction of Steven's mail. But if the question is public, you get the chance of more answers, and others get the benefit too

And I'm not sending you any unsolicited PM --- you already have more than your share!

Don't forget to report any nuisances to us...
