Heh Rosenrot,
I have an idea... I think you should contribute your suggestion to the thread:

Is the AC turned on in winter?

Do I book SL or 2A for Jodhpur -Abu Rd (about 5hrs) starting at 6.30am?

Aah, now I get it. 419 there is same as 420 here.
Quite appropriate, they are definitely 1 ahead of us on this.

Have just discovered this thread - good idea, Nadreg! I got the African one too..I've been enjoying the jokes here, but I must be as thick as a brick, can't understand this 419 business. If it's not rude, can it be explained in public???

Those letters are basically criminal fraud. From the link, I gather that Section 419 used to be the relevant section of the Nigerian criminal code dealing with fraud, hence "419". Like Section 420 here, or char sau bees/i, the commonly used term for fraud. Mr. K will have definitely heard of it, like any Indian!

If you are online extensively, use your card or access bank accounts then you should learn about various types of internet fraud.

Here are a couple of links:

Good links, Prashant. Reminds me of the time there was a lot of e-bay messages to me when I have never even used it. Just deleted the lot, didn't reply to any. Must have been fraudulent - have closed the link so can't remember the correct term -pshishing maybe??
