Need to edit earlier message to add link to photos

I had a previous post to which I'd like to add a link to the pictures. Unfortunately, edit does not appear to be an option, perhaps as the original post is a couple of weeks old. Any suggestions? Posting a new message at the end of the thread is not desirable as the trip report is in the first post.

Thank you very much.

Why not post your photos in our library? Then you can add a note to the end of the message thread to let us know they are there.

I believe that once a message has been replied to, you can no longer do any editing.

Although what you suggested is precisely what I do not wish to do, I thank you for your response.

Sorry, there is a time limit on editing posts. It is to do with time, not replies.

We can add text, so if you want something like "See later post for photos"

I don't think we can add attachments, though.

Nick -

Thanks a lot! No attachments, I simply want to add links to the phtos at the end of the original post.

Links:
-----------------
Rajaji National Park photos

Binsar Himalaya photos

Gwaldham photos
-----------------

Post:
The first post of the thread: Trip Report (Long) - Haridwar, Uttarakhand, Delhi.

It is more than you offered, but since you offered to add text and the above is text, I thought perhaps it is just as easy to cut and paste the above 3 links at the end of the first post. The photos do add something meaningful to the original post and the thread.

Thanks a ton! I very much appreciate the demands on moderators' time and patience and definitely do not plan to make this a habit. In fact, in retospect I should not have initiated the thread before I had the photos...

It's OK, will be up in a second.

But members, please contact mods in private over these issues, or just add it as a new post to your thread, indeed.

ps Done, let me know if you like it like this.

I don't know if you moved your lips, but your response did get the process rolling forward. Thanks a lot!

There are already a couple of appreciative comments there. If I can get Dilliwala envious about my Uttarakhand pictures, I consider it an accomplishment!

I'm not envious at all. Those Gwaldam pics are really very good, I always appreciate high quality.

Oh, u mean cos I cudn't see it 'live'? Ah well, just a season thing. I'll have to make sure that I go there at the 'right' time next time.
Damn! I wish u hadn't posted your pics, come to think of it, it's all your fault that I have to go there again , when I cud be going to Chopta/Gopeshwar or Chakrata or Pithoragarh/Dharchula or Champawat/Lohaghat or Spiti or Manali-Leh or Chamba/Sach Jot/Kilar or Palampur or some other place I haven't been instead.

Damn! Life is short, innit? Too much to see for one lifetime. And I'm talking of 2 states in one country only.

Gwaldham isn't that far off Chopta route, is it?

In any case, your enthusiasm for the region encouraged me plan a deeper trip into Uttarakhand than I was going to as well. So, I am only doing what you did to me. Good news here is that it is to inspire oneself to experience this region than one might otherwise have!

Thanks again!

Wud u PLEASE STOP putting more ideas into my head, km?
I'm already having a hard enough time as it is!
(just remembered I have Binsar and Mukteshwar on my re-do list too, thanks to your description of the views of Nepal!)

Well, this kind of doing I don't mind at all.

U did write something about going to Chopta some other time. Who knows, maybe we'll have an IM meet-up there.

PS: I'm off to Muss in 2 days for a short-trip. Received reports today that it's been freezing cold for a week (water pipes frozen and minus temp at night, brrr! ). No sign of snow yet, but with any luck it might start while I'm there.

Eye for an eye would make the world blind, but inspiration in return for inspiring would make it an inspired place!

That sounds like an idea. Will have to wait a bit as my India trips are few and far between. The plan this year is to: (a) do Annapurna circuit or EBC if we can take a month off, (b) do Indian mountains if we can take 2-3 weeks off, or (c) trek to the bottom of Grand Canyon and back if we can only take a week off.

I guess you'd not like the -11 F (not C) we had here recently...

That's right, km, u cn keep the -11 F to yourself.
-8 C will be more than enough in Muss, altho I heard a little while ago that the water is flowing again, so maybe it's only 0 C now!
