Next question, My avatar is not my picture, although pretty similar, well how can I have a pic as my avatar??
I know it is not making a difference to my posts, but if attending a IM meetup, .......
Is propably better to stick to current avatar?????
But how would it work?
Redundant question? I thought so.

If you mean the underline between the n and the a, then yes write to Nadreg. If you mean the underlining under the entire name, you can't, your user name is underlined because it is a link to your profile page.

It's on the same page you already used to get the image you already have.
  1. Click on your name top right.
  2. Select "Edit Avatar"
  3. Go to "Custom Avatar" and browse your drive for an image enter a URL.

I gave you instructions on how to upload a pic as your avatar - sorry but your reply doesn't make any sense to me, am I missing something?

What he means is his real image would look similar to the existing avatar.

I have a question, regarding a personal photo for an avatar.
I want the avatar to be small, like mine is now.
I uploaded a pic of my dog now, I compressed it to website standard, but for an avatar it would be to big I feel.

Can I compress my pic further, to the size of my current avatar?
Anybody know?????? What is the smalest possible?
Thanks for your help.

I made the pick really small 45kB, but it says max of 15KB for avatar is accepted.
My Microsoft pic manager is not workin anymore either, since I dont have a product key.
Where could I get a pic compression program free from the net.?

Download Picasa or The Gimp. The Gimp is an open source free Photoshop type program. Very good for editing and resizing photos.

Thanks Hal, much apreciated. But I would want mine half the size of yours, since I'm not so fotogenic.

I can see that from your current avatar. But you do seem to have a good eye for painting.
